WELCOME

Tricia Campbell BRHS Principal

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such dynamic and spirited students, an extremely dedicated staff and a supportive school community. We are here to prepare our students and engage our communities.

This is my fifth year as the BRHS Principal. I am excited to continue to learn and grow with Boothbay Region High School as we move forward to strengthen and shape our school mission. I have had the honor to work with students and staff, Pre-Kindergarten through 12th in the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD. I am beyond thrilled to have the privilege to share my skills as an educational leader with Boothbay Region High School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure each student’s success.

Hands-on Learning
Our third film spotlights Hands-on Learning, one of the innovative educational methodologies. Its key feature is its practical and result-orientated approach, i.e., acquiring new skills and their application in real-life contexts. Pupils learn by performing some tasks or solving a problem.

Chip Schwehm

Staff

Chip Schwehm - STEAM Teacher - Chip will be retiring at the conclusion of the 25-26 school year. We are both sad to say goodbye and excited for this next chapter for him. Here's a reflection from Chip on his time here at BRHS. "I came to Boothbay in the mid 1990's to teach physics at BRHS. Moving to Boothbay was the best decision that my wife Kate and I have ever made. In my time at BRHS, I have taught five versions of physics, photography, math, and for the last 13 years, STEAM courses in the shop (my favorite). From the start, I was encouraged to create project based courses that emphasize hands-on craftsmanship and apply math, science, and technology old and new. BRHS has allowed me to learn and grow with an incredible group of teachers and the best student body anywhere. As I near retirement, it becomes more and more clear how lucky I have been to land at BRHS." Thanks Chip, we'll miss you!

Maddie Faulkingham Alumni

Alumni

Since graduating from BRHS in 2020, Maddy Faulkingham has pursued her passion for veterinary medicine with remarkable dedication. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wheaton College in 2024, she reached a major milestone by enrolling at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2025. Maddy’s journey to vet school was marked by extensive hands-on experience and a commitment to animal welfare. She balanced her undergraduate studies with clinical work as a Veterinary Assistant at the Boothbay Animal Hospital and gained unique international perspective through a pre-veterinary internship at Wild Sun Rescue in Costa Rica. In addition to her local clinical hours and volunteer work at the Mansfield Animal Shelter, she served her community as a waitress at Linekin Bay Resort during her summers home. Maddy's successful transition to veterinary school serves as an inspiring example of how local roots and global experiences can shape a professional career.
